Sources close to the office of Liberal leader Ted Baillieu have provided the OC with a list of suspects who are primary focus of the investigation being conducted by incoming Liberal state director Tony Nutt for crimes against the leadership of Ted Baillieu:
■ Tony Barry - Senator Michael Ronaldson's chief of staff;
■ Simon Morgan - Former deputy state director of the Victorian Liberal party and alleged author of anti Ted site, whose emails were given to Paul Austin by Baillieu's office, in an astonishing act of tomfoolery;
■ John Osborn - Former campaign official of the party said to be close to Barry;
■ Senator Michael Ronaldson - Liberal Senator known to fiercely oppose Baillieu's leadership;
■ Julian Sheezel - Outgoing party director who dropped Morgan and Osborn in it from a great height in one of the most cowardly displays the OC has ever seen;
■ Matthew Guy - Upper house MP who some think has what it takes to be party leader one day;
■ Helen Kroger- Senator-Elect and matriarch of the Costello/Kroger faction;
■ Scott Ryan - Also a Senator-Elect and factional warrior;
■ Sandra Mercer-Moore - Metropolitan Female Vice-President;
■ Mitch Fifield - Liberal Senator;
■ Ross Fox - former Chief of Staff to Ronaldson, major player in Kroger/Costello faction; and
■ Luke Tobin - Works for Fifield and was very involved in State Council factional activities.
To those concerned about the amount of bloodshed, the Baillieu faction say "this is a once in a lifetime opportunity" that they cannot let go.
Their various high crimes and misdemeanours include opposing Baillieu's rule, his left-leaning policies, performance and personnel decisions.
It is clear that the inquiry against them is not just directed at those knowingly concerned with the Baillieu website but as Ted put it a "cell" operating against his interests. That means pretty much the entire leadership of the Kroger/Costello faction will be attacked by means of purge.
Chillingly, we are told that the list "is not exhaustive" and there are many other who will be subject to the probe of Red/Dead Ted.
Game on.
