Kerry Nettle's website records her solidarity with terrorist murderers from the Palestinian Authority.
The Senator from NSW recently toured Israel and the PA and has reported back to appreciative taxpayers on her website.
SOLIDARITY WITH TERRORISM
Replete with spelling errors and typos, the prickly Nettle reports on Israel in a bigoted and sectarian manner. Nettle makes her hateful feelings very clear, with this entry of photo website flickr of the security wall that protects Israel from terrorists, she captions it "The Wall will not stop us". Outrageous. About as close to inciting terrorism as should be permitted before shackling the witch.
Even worse, the Nettle refers to herself constantly in the third person, something the OC would never tolerate.
VICTIMS OF APARTHEID INSULTED
She insults the long suffering of the black people of South Africa, brutally suppressed by an apartheid regime for decades by comparing a security checkpoint with a regime that practised officially entrenched racial prejudice:
People are divided by the colour and nature of their permits. Israelis and tourists can pass through the checkpoints close to the village. Palestinians who hold a different permit must travel 45 minutes to a different checkpoint. The system of permits and checkpoints amounts to an apartheid-like system.
This sounds very, very similar to arrangements at Tullamarine Airport. The Australians have one queue, and a much quicker system of being processed and foreigners have another queue. Indeed, if you're a pilot or VIP you get another queue entirely. Does this make Australia an apartheid state? In fact I cannot think of an airport or other customs clearance point I've been through where these arrangements don't exist.
It really is outrageous stuff. The Palestinians want their own country. And yet when they want to enter another country, the country they sought to separate from in the first place, their leadership gets angry that they have to show passports and work permits upon entry. Unbelievable. And of course, the Nettle fell for it completely.
THE QUEEN OF MEAN GETS ENTERTAINED // DID SHE CRACK A SMILE?
The comrades in terror clearly knew they had a "live one" in Kerry. She writes again in the third person:
Finally a Palestinian dance troupe entertained Kerry and the rest of the tour after a long day.
But did anyone offer her a rocket launcher? That is considered a much more sincere expression of friendship than a spot of belly dancing.
SALT WATER WELLS IN MY EYES
Currently the average water use by a Palestinian is 150 cubic metres compared to 600 cubic metres for an Israeli citizen and a staggering 2400 cubic metres for a settler in the West Bank.
30% of Palestinians don't have access to running water and 8 % only for an average of two hours.
Water justice is crucial to resolving the conflict.
Again, this is humbug. The Palestian Authority delivers water to the people within the PA. The Israel government does the same for its people, or citizens make their own arrangements, just like in Australia. If "Palestine" is not part of Israel, and it's clear that having a sovereign nation is an aspiration of the PA and is not something that should necessarily be a problem, then they can sort out their own water crisis. It's like Australia looking over at New Zealand and demanding that they give us water because it's not "water justice if they don't.
HIGHLY DISTURBING STUFF
Nettle really is a freak. The most incredible thing about her report from Israel is the lack of humanity and emotional response to the place. Sure, she's sympathetic to the Palestinians and many people can share her sadness for the plight of the average Palestinian. Stolen from and betrayed by their leadership, the pawn of every manipulative Arab regime in the region, deprived by terrorists of the incredible job opportunities over the border in Israel. It's a very sad story.
But having been to Israel a few times, I am amazed that Nettle has no comment to make at all about the miracle it is. About the hope and determination and prosperity of the place. About how they've been able to use (with world's best desalination and irrigation technologies) the little water they have to build huge export industries in agriculture and ensure the people have the water they need. Even how strong the lefty-hippy-peacenik culture is throughout Israel from the sandal-wearers in Tel Aviv to the hippies in kibbutzes. That's the real Israel, a remarkably complex place, where great political struggle plays out in a vibrant democracy as the nation tries to make its way in the world.
I've encouraged so many people to go to Israel, including those who think every Palestinian malady is caused by the Jewish state's mere existence. And not one of them left unimpressed. Not one. For union officials in particular, they go there and are amazed at how strong organised labour is in Israel. Did she go to Yad Vashem, the Holocaust museum? Did she talk with young people about anything? Speak with any families who've lost loved ones to terror? Talked with Labour leaders who tried to give the Palestinians 97% of all the territory they'd ever asked for but had it thrown back in their face by so-called leader Yasser Arafat? No.
But Kerry Nettle is as blind as she chooses to be. The pinko with rose-coloured glasses in Gaza put the blinkers on while in Israel. Blind to its success, its freedoms, its compassion and the principles that built that most remarkable of nations, she sees only what she wants to see and learns nothing as a result. She is indeed the ugly face of Greens prejudice.
Game on.
