We promoted a Monday Madness Midday exclusive with our first promotional video on YouTube (see above). It worked a treat with the egomaniacal musings of newsreader "Ron Burgundy" reportedly prompting edgy but gifted Stevie Mayne to think we were doing a story on him. Crikey insiders say we ruined his weekend.
Instead, we shockingly revealed that People Power, a party rooted in populism and standing up for the little guy was being led by a highly secretive millionaire property baron Jack Reilly who had failed to disclose his business activities to the public or his party colleagues.
Jack Reilly responded to the OC's calls and emails and bizarrely denied being a candidate, a member or the leader of this Party.
People Power quickly responded, pulling biographical material about Reilly from their website.
We considered what this failure to disclose and bizarre resignation could mean for Victoria's newest political party.
The story then drew mainstream media attention with reports in the Herald Sun and The Australian.
Game on.
